Legislative Canopy Costs $175,000

The Manitoba government spent $175,000 on a simple canopy to prevent the disabled from getting chunks of ice fall on them in winter. This, plus the wheelchair ramp, cost a total of nearly $2 million. Colin Craig of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation says the cost is excessive and so do many Winnipegers.
